Throat Mic Available for iPhone

ThinkGeek has a throat mic for the iPhone. Listed as the Black Ops Throat Mic, the two-piece throat mic and in-ear speaker provide comms in a high noise environment. They work by direct sound conduction from the vocal cords to the surface of the throat so wind noise, or even volume of the speaker is irrelevant. They should work even for sub-vocalization and whispers. This would be a great addition for anyone riding a motorcycle, high noise work environment or when a mask or respirator is worn. Given the dual-microphone design shown it is most likely not suitable for quickly answering calls if you are not already wearing it.

What I cannot tell without hearing the audio quality is how good is the sound produced. Sure it might work in high noise, but it could easily muddy the sound quality. In spite of that, I want one! Even at the list price of $119.99, it seems too cool (or ultimate geek sheik) to pass.
