Cool New Earbuds Beat Apple’s Basic White

While the ability to recognize each other providse value and the minimalist white design is Apple chic, Geek Stuff 4 U provides a new look for your earbuds. At ¥ 2,000.00 these might be expensive or dirt cheap. A quick trip to a currency converter site and I see that ~ $22 USD seems very reasonable for these buds.

The cat paws do not do much for me, but I find myself strangely drawn to the bolts.

MockApp Provides Template and Icons for Rapid Prototyping an App UI

Disclaimer: MockApp‘s download policy forced me to do a review. I downloaded it.  Per Dotan Saguy‘s licensing aggreement, I wrote this post.

I Like it. If I Could break my free-app addiction for long enough and simultaneously avoid coffee, I would use this to mock-up an App. MockApp provides two clean files and simple instructions for mocking up an iPhone UI. Using either Keynote or PowerPoint (OK, works fine in OpenOffice. Friends don’t let friends do PowerPoint!) If you have aspirations of writing an app, this is a great start. It allows you to put it in front of people, do useability testing, and subcontract the dev work if you don’t know or don’t have the patience to learn Cocoa, etc to make your own from scratch.

appzealotbadge70x70Apps are causing a revolution. With each new one, I view the phone differently.  Because tools open up options, they remake us. The iPhone and its connectivity let us see ourselves as more nomadic. There are many ways to change the world, and I think artists, hackers, and engineers are paving the way.

So what apps are changing your world view? Making your life easier? Reducing what you need to carry? Distracting you cause you cannot put them down? Add your comments, links, and pics. Thank you.
